The chessed program is an integral part of the Baer Miriam experience. By actively being involved in chessed activities, you have the opportunity to make a difference and improve the lives of others.
The goal of our chessed program is to take what you have learned about the mitzvah of doing chessed and actualize it. It gives you a chance to contribute to the community, and to develop relationships with local families.
Whether you choose to do your chessed work as a volunteer in an organization or social service, in a hospital, working with disadvantaged youth or disabled children, organizing food packages for Shabbat, working with needy families, or any of the many other choices we offer, the experience of doing chessed will make an indelible impression on you that will remain with you for a lifetime.
